Departing Saturday 24th May 2008

Village

Westendorf is an idyllic, tranquil village, which offers a variety of shops, restaurants and cafés. It lies on a scenic plateau surrounded by alpine pastures in the Kitzbühel Alps. Walking is varied with gentle rambles as well as longer hikes, many of which can be accessed via the gondola lift, which ascends to 6000 feet. In one of the most beautiful areas of Austria, golf, cycling and tennis are also available. Trips can be made to Krimml, the highest waterfalls in Europe and to the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. Also Kitzbühel, Berchtesgaden, Innsbruck and Salzburg are close enough for a visit.

The comfortable 4 star Hotel Jakobwirt is situated in the heart of the village. It retains many homely Tyrolean features and also offers more modern comforts, including lounge areas, bar, lift and terrace café. The hotel has a relaxing leisure spa area with indoor swimming pool and sauna. All rooms have WC, and a bath or shower, cable TV, phone, safe and hairdryer. Hotel
