GRIMALDI 700 88 bar reel for 4 couples in a square set. Roy Goldring
1 – 8 1st and 3rd couples dance rights and lefts. On bar 8 they return to place but finish back to back.
9 – 16 Reels of ‘three’ – 2nd couple, in promenade hold, with 3rd woman and 1st man, 4th couple, in promenade hold, with 1st woman and 3rd man. To begin, 2nd couple and 3rd woman (also 4th couple and 1st woman) pass by the left shoulder.
17 – 24 2nd and 4th couples repeat bars 1-8 finishing back to back.
25 – 32 Reels of ‘three – 1st couple, in promenade hold, with 2nd woman and 4th man, 3rd couple, in promenade hold, with 4th woman and 2nd man. To begin, 1st couple pass 2nd woman by the left (3rd couple pass 4th woman by the left).
33 – 36 All set to partner and change places with right hands. The women finish facing in ready for:
37 – 40 Left hands across; the women finish in partner’s place facing out.
41 – 48 The Loop. To begin, each woman casts behind her partner and the next man (e.g. 4th man for 1st woman), into the centre and around that man keeping him on her left, and back to the outside of the set to finish in the opposite man’s place (e.g. 3rd man’s place for 1st woman). (Diagram)
49 – 52 All set to new partner and change places with right hands. The men finish facing in ready for: 53 – 56      Left hands across; the men finish in own places facing out.
57 – 64 The Loop. The men repeat bars 41-48, dancing behind (new) partner to begin and looping around the next woman (e.g. 2nd woman, in 4th woman’s place, for 1st man). All finish in opposite man’s place.
65 – 68 1st woman and 3rd man (also 1st man and 3rd woman) dance around each other passing by the right (similar to a right hand turn but without giving hands) to finish in the centre of the dance facing clockwise.
69 – 72 1st man followed by his partner dances out between 2nd couple (in 4th couple’s place) and casts to original places. 3rd couple dance between 4th couple before casting to places. (Diagram)
73 – 80 2nd and 4th couples repeat bars 65-72 dancing around the opposite person, then 2nd couple dance between 1st couple (4th couple between 3rd couple) and cast to original places.
81 – 88 Eight hands round and back.
